About the SDG Impact Portal
Structuring and communicating tangible evidence of how Malawi University of Business and Applied Sciences contributes to the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
Purpose and Mission
The SDG Impact Portal is the official central repository for sustainability reporting and evidence tracking at Malawi University of Business and Applied Sciences (MUBAS). As Malawi’s premier public university for technology, business, innovation, and applied science, MUBAS plays an essential role in addressing both local and global developmental challenges.
This platform facilitates open communication of the university's institutional stewardship, applied research outputs, teaching curriculum, and community outreach programmes organized systematically around the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Reporting Methodology & Rankings
The portal is designed to support transparent sustainability communication and structured evidence compilation for institutional reviews and university benchmarking exercises, including the Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings.
Publication of evidence on this platform reflects university activities, verified data, and research reports. It is intended to inform the university community, partners, and the public, and does not constitute a guaranteed ranking outcome.
The 17 Goals Framework
Every sustainability initiative is curated by academic faculties and administrative directorates under dedicated indicators. Each indicator provides verifiable evidence, descriptive reports, policy documents, and research publications to ensure complete accountability.
